After a long offseason of uncertainty, Danielle Hunter is at Vikings OTAs after signing a contract extension yesterday.
While he is there in person, he is not practicing yet as reported by ESPN reporter Courtney Cronin.
Hunter is receiving $5.6M of his salary this year as a signing bonus. That part of the extension actually helped the Vikings out against the 2021 cap. With that help, the Vikings wasted no time and signed DT Sheldon Richardson to a much improved Vikings defense.
With the Hunter situation settled, look for Minnesota to move full speed ahead and be all in this season. I still expect 1-2 more mid-level free-agent signing before the start of the 2021 NFL season.
